Masih dengan ciri khas Classmate PC yang memiliki spesifikasi dan fitur sederhana, Classmate PC+ buatan Lenovo hadir dengan desain yang lebih atraktif dibandingkan generasi sebelumnya. Dalam hal spesifikasi, Classmate PC+ menggunakan prosesor Atom N455 1,66GHz dengan chipset Intel NM10, memori RAM sebesar 2GB, layar LCD 10-inci, WiFi, Webcam 1.3 Megapixel, 3 port USB 2.0, memory card reader, konektor D-sub dan jack audio. Anda pun diberi kebebasan untuk memilih media penyimpanan yang ingin digunakan antara SSD ataupun hardisk. Untuk SSD diberi pilihan kapasitas antara 8 atau 16GB, sedangkan untuk hardisk antara 160 atau 250GB.
Untuk daya tahan baterai, Lenovo Classmate+ PC hadir dengan 3 pilihan paket baterai, yaitu baterai dengan standard 3 cell yang menjanjikan waktu pemakaian 3-3.5 jam, baterai 4400mAh dengan 6 cell yang dengan daya tahan baterai 7-7.5 jam dan baterai 5200mAh dengan 6 cell yang menawarkan daya tahan baterai dengan lebih baik yaitu 8.5-9 jam waktu pemakaian.
Lenovo Classmate+ PC memang didesain untuk tujuan khusus, yaitu memajukan pendidikan global, sehingga ditargetkan untuk negara berkembang yang jauh ketinggalan dalam hal teknologi. Pengiriman pertama sebanyak 158 ribu unit akan ditujukan ke Argentina. Tidak ada informasi mengenai Indonesia, tapi setidaknya Acer telah menyiapkan laptop yang dirancang khusus untuk para pelajar dengan harga yang terjangkau.

The Lenovo Classmate+ provides schools an affordable, child-friendly complete hardware and software solution. Based on the Intel Learning Series reference design, the PC will come pre-loaded with the Intel Learning Series software suite, specialized educational software and a variety of teaching resources. This spring, the Organization of Ibero-American States will deploy the first wave of 158,000 Lenovo Classmate+ laptops as part of its Conectar Igualdad 1:1 computing program, which will equip students throughout the country with PC technology.

The configurations pass rigorous testing with their drop-resistant exteriors and spill-resistant keyboards.
The Lenovo Classmate+ PC offers a full computing experience, equipped with an Intel® Atom™ processor, Ethernet and WiFi Internet connectivity, Windows 7 operating system and high-capacity storage up to 250 GB or solid state drive options.
