CHATSWORTH, Calif. and ORLANDO, Fla., June 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — (INFOCOMM) — SANYO North America Corporation (SANYO), a subsidiary of SANYO Electric Co., Ltd., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of LCD and DLP projectors, today announced the introduction of a new Full HD projector developed for the professional market that utilizes SANYO’s QuaDrive engine to achieve a best-in class brightness of 7,000 lumens with just a single lamp. The PLC-HP7000L produces 1920×1080 resolution and full 10-bit video processing, with exceptional color reproduction in a portable package designed to provide operators with high reliability and low operational cost. The projector is scheduled to become available in October 2011 with a suggested retail price of $19,995.00

Using inorganic panels and a single high watt lamp, the QuaDrive optical engine in the PLC-HP7000 produces 7,000 Lumens of brightness with color purity superior to that of conventional LCD projectors. Because of the efficient manner the Color Control Device is able to manage yellow, QuaDrive offers color space that is 20% wider than 3LCD. Extending the active use time of the projector without maintenance to 10,000 hours, SANYO’s long-life Active Maintenance Filter (AMF) system gives the projector a very high level of reliability, with significantly reduced maintenance costs in comparison to competitive products.

The compact-sized projector can be integrated into a wide range of existing control systems, as it is compatible with both Crestron and AMX systems. For multi-source presentations, both Picture in Picture and Picture By Picture functions are available. Along with its set of legacy video interfaces, the PLC-HP7000 also provides an HDMI input.

Ease and speed of setup are facilitated through powered zoom and focus controls, in addition to corner keystone correction, which is a combination of vertical and horizontal keystone correction. The projector also offers a mechanical shutter system. Accommodating a wide range of venue and display requirements, operators can choose from a total of six optional lenses, and a 360 degree vertical lens setting affording users tremendous flexibility and the ability to be creative when determining projector location.
