Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: Andalkan Bodi Tipis dan Honeycomb

Di tahun 2010, Samsung mengeluarkan tablet berbasis Android pertamanya, Galaxy Tab, yang ternyata laris manis di pasar. Kami juga sempat mengulasnya di sini.

Keputusan menggunakan layar berukuran 7 inci memang membuatnya lebih kecil dan lebih nyaman digenggam dibandingkan iPad, tapi saat digunakan untuk memutar video, membaca majalah digital, atau bermain game, layar 7 inci terasa agak sempit bagi sebagian pengguna. Jika itu alasan Anda tidak membeli Galaxy Tab, Samsung akan meluncurkan Galaxy Tab dengan layar berukuran 10,1 inci. Jadi tidak ada alasan lagi untuk tidak mencicipi nikmatnya menggunakan komputer tablet berbasis sistem operasi Google, Android.

Mengingat ini adalah usaha kedua Samsung untuk jajaran komputer tablet, tak heran jika mereka memasukkan beberapa peningkatan spesifikasi yang menarik hati. Dari sisi performa, Samsung menggunakan prosesor dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 untuk performa pemrosesan dan grafis yang prima. Sedangkan, sistem operasi Galaxy Tab 10.1 akan mengandalkan Google Android versi 3 yang juga dijuluki Honeycomb. Ini elemen yang terpenting karena saat menguji Galaxy Tab, terasa sekali betapa Android Froyo “dipaksakan” untuk digunakan di tablet. Semoga saja Honeycomb yang dirancang untuk digunakan di tablet akan lebih memuaskan.

Belum ada kabar mengenai tanggal kehadiran dan harganya saat masuk di Indonesia. Kami prediksi harganya tidak akan jauh dari Galaxy Tab saat pertama kali diluncurkan.
